Security Meetup – HITBSecConf CTF – Behind the scene

What?

Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes during HITBSecConf CTF game? Want to take a peek at how the games are organized? Or how about having the satisfaction of making life difficult for the participants for two days?

Members from HITB’s CTF crew, both 1.0 and 2.0, will present how they run one of Asia’s hardest and exciting Capture The Flag competitions.

Due to the confidentiality and sensitivity of this talk, no cameras or recording devices are allowed and the slides WILL NOT be published.

The current HITB CTF crew is also searching for HITB’s Next Top CTF Crew :p. If you think you have what it takes, feel free to drop by.

Security Meetup – UniPwned! – Hacking UniFi for the LOLZ

This 30 minute presentation will talk about the recent deployment of TM’s new HSBB service and the security aspects of it. We’ll mainly be focusing on hacking the D-LINK DIR-615 router which is issued to all UniFi subscribers. From stealing account credentials, to ways of building a router based botnet. There will also be a Q&A session in hopes of discussing other potential attack vectors.
