Mendel RepRap Group Meetup

June 2, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

This is a meetup to discuss the possibility of starting a working group to build Mendel RepRap in HackerspaceKL

From http://reprap.org/wiki/Main_Page:

RepRap is a free desktop 3D printer capable of printing
plastic objects. Since many parts of RepRap are made from plastic and
RepRap can print those parts, RepRap can be considered a self-replicating
machine
– one that anyone can build given time and materials.

The purpose of this meeting is to start a group to work on a Mendel reprap.  - ie be involved in building one and then later with
the knowledge – build their own.

Besides learning how to build a machine that can build itself (and other parts, of course), members will gain some knowledge of CAD, CADCAM, mechanical engineering and circuitry. All that is needed is to be mechanically inclined (good but not essential), and the desire to override deficiency.

This meeting is open for all. For more information, please refer to the following blog:

We also have a Google group at http://groups.google.com/group/MAYReprap
