Solar Charging Lamp

Finally got the chance to complete the so called solar charging lamp.

This is a basic solar lamp that consists of nine monocrystalline solar/PV cells connected in series forming a 2.5watt panel (5V 500mA). The panel is used to Trickle Charge a Selaed Lead-Acid battery housed inside the casing.

I remade the panel and it’s now slightly bigger than the earlier one (in sweemeng’s video) and gives out more juice.

The light uses a basic phototransistor circuit for switching. The circuit charges the battery in day-time and turn on the LED lamp at night. The knob in front of the lamp is for tuning the lamp’s sensitivity.
