KLKS CNC BuildLog 06 – Threaded Rods & Drill Bits

Next up are threaded rods, and bits to drill the wood.
I went to quite afew shops around where i live in search for these rods but non of them carry it, so i decided to pay RS Online a visit and they happen to carry these rods in packs of 5 in 1000mm lengths. The CNC required M8/M6/M5 threaded rods. The roods took 4 days to arrive. The rods cost RM150 incl shipping. I would later come find out when buying the nuts and bolts that these rods can be purchased individually at Asia Bolts and Nuts *(@&&*^@^&@&^%@&^%@#………
The rods were then sized down to lengths in the guide.
Next off i went to the local hardware store and got drill bits and afew hex saw blades for cutting the rods. A variety of sizes is required for the drill bits. This set me back RM102
Wood glue is also required in this build.
