FreeBSD Essentials (started 09/19/2010)

The series will now focus on FreeBSD specific topics, extending where UNIX essentials left off. The sessions will be broken up as follows:-

  • Installing FreeBSD
  • System level configuration and customization
  • Introduction to /usr/src tree
  • Application management via PORTS
  • Configuring custom freebsd kernel
  • Linux compatibility stack
  • FreeBSD System management and maintenance
